Second Time Around

Dear Readers:

How did I get to this point in my life? I started working in healthcare, graduating from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in what was then called Medical Technology. That title became politically incorrect so by the time I retired I had morphed into a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. If you know anything about laboratory workers, we are a detail-oriented, picky little bunch who like to use gobs of adjectives and adverbs infesting just about every sentence and instruction. I had much to learn. As I cast about for writing topics, I latched onto ideas and jotted notes for a possible memoir, historical novel, maybe even poetry. I was adrift and decided I needed some formal writing help. The plot thickens.
