Author Judith Grout lives and writes in Glendale, Arizona. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in Clinical Laboratory Science and worked in healthcare while she attended creative writing classes and published a fictional account of her Mother-in-law’s hitchhiking journey across America in 1939. Chasing the Strawberry Moon (Hitchhiking for Girls) is available in electronic and soft cover versions on Amazon. Her current WIP is a linked story collection titled Widow’s Landing which will be available soon.

  • Judith is a member of the West Valley Genealogical Society located in Youngtown, Arizona. She spent many hours reading unpublished diaries, newspaper articles, and researching immigrants moving west for her current WIP.
  • Judith also belongs to Story Circle Network where she received recognition for her “outstanding blog” in their SCN national e-letter. See the Star Blogger badge on her website.
  • Women Writing the West claims her as a member and she and her spouse have attended several annual meetings in locations such as Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM.
  • Judith just had her article on writer’s block published in Women Fiction Writers of America, another of her membership organizations.
